About Skyplinth
A small studio, a big landscape, and a Warden that never blinks.
Skyplinth is a free 3D strategy puzzle game that runs in your web browser on desktop, laptop, tablet and phone. There's nothing to download and no account to make. You open the page and you're on the landscape.

Skyplinth is designed and built by Story Technical Services, a small independent games and software company in the United Kingdom. We also run Get Tiffany, a multiplayer social game for the browser. We write the code, the landscapes and the puzzles ourselves.
Why we made it
Skyplinth comes from the 8-bit home computer era, when the best games asked you to think more than they asked you to react. One of the most memorable was Geoff Crammond's The Sentinel (1986): a slow, tense game of seeing and being seen, played across thousands of landscapes.
Nothing quite like it exists to play instantly in a modern browser, so we built Skyplinth. It's an original game written from scratch, with its own rules, landscapes and characters, and it wears the Spectrum's bright colours with pride. It isn't a copy or a port, and it isn't connected to the original game or its makers.
What's in the game
- Thousands of landscapes, each with its own four-digit code.
- A daily landscape: the same for everyone, new every day, with its own leaderboard.
- 15 achievements to collect.
- Full keyboard and touch controls, so it plays the same on a PC or a phone.
- Progress saved in your own browser, with no sign-up.
New to it? Start with how to play, then read the strategy guide when the Warden starts winning.
How it's funded
Skyplinth is free, and it's paid for by advertising from Google. You can read how data and cookies are handled on our privacy page.
